The Poet Takes the Stage

Date: July 14
Time: 2:00pm
Location: The Great Lawn at Steepletop

After traveling the globe, Jerri Dell, granddaughter of Floyd Dell and author of “Blood Too Bright: Floyd Dell Remembers Edna St. Vincent Millay, returns to Steepletop.   She will present a lively look at Millay’s life as an actor, a playwright, and a director.  Although primarily known today for her poetry, Edna St. Vincent Millay spent considerable time in the theatre.  Jerri will begin with Millay’s Vassar College theatre experience and explore her Provincetown Players years in New York.  Millay’s distinct stage presence led to packed houses for her poetry readings and even radio performances.

Meet and greet the author with book signing following the talk.

$20 admission; reservations are recommended.
